Using Google Apps To Create Emails For Your Domain Name

It is common to own at least one domain name (if not, more..) if you are providing a service or selling products online. Most Webmasters would love to have an email for their domain name (something like kc@my-domain.com) because this will also help to increase the trust of the people who have contacted you.
The concern is that setting up an email for a new domain name may not be straightforward to most people. In addition, you can only access emails through the computer that you have installed the email client application (Outlook, Thunderbird etc). The good news is I am going to share with you one solution that will resolve all these concerns in this post.
Steps to set up your domain email:
So once you are convinced that Google Apps is the way to go, refer to the following steps to set up:
1. First thing first, you need to register for a new domain name! You can go to GoDaddy and register one .com for less than $10 per year. With the domain name registered, go here and sign up for Google Apps.
2. The second thing is to verify that the domain name is yours =) This step is necessary as Google will authenticate you as the owner of the domain. The verification will be completed once you upload a HTML file to the domain. You can log in to the Google Apps account you signed up in step one to find the HTML file.
3. The third step is to create the user accounts for your users. This can simply be done by going to your account and select the Create Users link. Note that the Username that you create is the email id that people use to send you emails. For example, my username is KC456, then my email address for that account will be KC456@my-domain.com.
4. After you have set up the email account, it is now time to go to your server MX Records to change the pointing so that all emails will be diverted to your newly created email.
5. You can now access your email through the URL: http://mail.google.com/a/my-domain.com. Replace the domain name with yours and you should be able to see the email login box =)
That?s all! You are done! Things may not be so easy if you are doing some migration from your old emails to new ones. Hence, Google Apps team has taken a lot of effort to present you a comprehensive guide that covers almost everything you want to do with the Google Apps!
You can click on the link below to view the full version of this guide. The author is the owner of the popular business blog, Business Sense. A Look Into Broadband Internet

What's great about the society we have at present is not simply the technology that it's able to offer us. It's actually as if each time we think we need something, it usually comes our way and we don't even have to ask. Prior to their commercially availability, nobody must have thought of the iPOD or the Xbox 360 except those who actually created them. Long before we thought we needed gadgets from cellphones to digital heart monitors, they already made them. Way ahead of our belief that we need Internet connection we could carry around with our laptops, they already set it up. Thanks to broadband technology, getting a signal wirelessly just isn't a feat anymore.

When you talk about broadband connection, you're actually talking about a card or stick that you plug into your laptop. This gadget is responsible for giving you a signal and enabling you to surf the web. This technology has made a lot of difference for users who once didn't have the luxury of changing their sitting positions while connected to the net because any movement could make them lose connection. With broadband connection, you can even be browsing while in a moving vehicle as long as the area you're in has a signal.

Broadband Internet service isn't exactly hard to get these days. There's quite a number of companies that offer different packages you could choose from depending on a range of factors from the speed you want to be working with to the actual specifications of your computer. Most people prefer a pre-paid package which is viewed as one of the more practical options any Internet user can have. With this plan, you can buy a card that is worth a certain amount of surfing time. This gives users a lot of flexibility especially those who won't need to connect to the Internet very often. You just buy the time you need and that's all you need to pay for.

If you're wondering whether or not you need a broadband connection, it's quite simple to tell. If you'll be needing to be connected a lot of the time, you definitely need one. With this type of Internet service, you can connect anytime and anywhere as long as there's a signal in the vicinity. If you're a business person who can't afford not to be prompt with your communications, this is definitely for you. Or if you simply would like the freedom of being connected all throughout the day for whatever reason, you sure need a broadband connection.

This type of service might have you paying more than an ordinary cable Internet or phone modem connection. However, the advantages make the cost difference negligible if you actually need it. If your job requires you to refer to the Internet every now and then, surely, you will benefit from this type of connectivity. But if your Internet needs won't be as regular, broadband might not be for you.

There is, however, one disadvantage to having a broadband connection. As long as your computer's turned on, you'll be connected to the Internet even when you're not actually using it. The web is quite abundant in all sorts of elements that lead to security breach. That means by staying connected longer, the more exposed you are to hackers who might anytime fancy throwing you keyloggers, trojans and the like, especially when you're not watching.

This can be prevented, though, by simply using an IP hider software. With an IP hider, you get to surf the web without showing your real IP address. And when you don't show it, nobody knows you're actually connected.

This is proof that when you hide your IP, you can surf anonymously and be safe all the way even with a broadband connection.

How a Professional Web Design Helps to Build Trust

The key to a successful online business is building customer trust. Establishing trust in the virtual world can be a difficult task because there are so many websites competing for visitors. One important method of building trust is to create a professional web design.

A business website allows you to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that you are able to interact with millions of potential customers from around the world. A professional website design tells a visitor that a business is secure, credible, and provides quality goods and services. A key component of internet marketing is to create a trust building website. A professional website design should be business appropriate, well thought-out and implemented, and focused on the visitor.

To build visitor trust, a web design should utilize the following tools:

Content: A professional website should contain educational and informative articles that are relevant to the businesses vision. The articles should also be professionally written that do not contain errors.

Search Engine Rankings: Your website design should be search engine friendly so that it will achieve a high ranking. Make sure you have the appropriate key words, minimal pictures, links, appropriate domain name, a Blog, chat room, the business address, logo, and a contact email and address.

Privacy: Include a privacy policy that is clearly located on the website. Never disclose email addresses to 3rd party companies.

Email marketing: Provide your targeted audience with an "opt out" tool for your email marketing campaigns.

Encourage Visitor Interaction: Provide tools to allow your visitors to interact with the site. This can include webinars, discussion forums, surveys, comment section, polls, and contests.

Showcase Your Company: Include your company's history, mission, vision, and other important background information. Make sure you have a list of client testimonials. Display pictures of your business that includes both the interior and exterior. You can even include pictures of your employees working such as in a meeting or at their desk.

Create a Blog: Add a Blog to your site which will allow you to keep your visitors up-to-date about new products, services, upcoming events, special announcements, and positive news about the company.

Hire a Professional Design Company: Website design companies know the "ins" and "outs" of creating a professional website. They will help determine your needs and your visitors' needs, and then design a website that is professional and user-friendly.

Show that User Personal and Financial Information is Safe: Make sure that your visitors know that their payment transactions are safe. Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) uses digital certificates and encryption to perform a series of security checks verifying that the identity of a customer or sender of information is valid. Consider acquiring a trustmark.

Today, having a website is a must for every business. In recent years, web designs have undergone many changes. They have now become more interactive and a place to share information. No matter the size of a business, if you design a website that focuses on building trust, you will drastically increase the number of visitors that will become loyal customers.
